Job summary

Xylem in Yellow Springs, OH is seeking a Chemistry Technician to support the Life Science Value Stream by producing membranes, reagents, and lab products for water testing and environmental monitoring. This role emphasizes accurate documentation, GMP-like practices, and cross-functional collaboration to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; or an Associate degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field.
1+ years of laboratory experience in manufacturing, academic, or quality-control settings.
Experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and SOPs.
Ability to work in laboratory and clean room environments with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare, formulate, and test reagents to support orders and production needs.
Produce membranes for deliveries and internal use.
Support clean room manufacturing activities including testing, labeling, packaging, and preparation.
Document production data, test results, and batch records accurately.
Perform scheduled clean room sanitation and maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet schedules and demand.
Assist R&D with new product development and testing.
