Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with eight years of relevant experience, two years in lead capacity
• Advanced degree with six years of relevant experience, two years in lead capacity
• Degree with emphasis on drinking water quality and analytical chemistry
• Experience in applied research, drinking water treatment, and analytical chemistry

Responsibilities

• Supervising and mentoring a team of technical professionals
• Leading monitoring efforts to test and report treatment process performance indicators and unregulated contaminants
• Reviewing regulatory changes affecting drinking water quality
• Developing, validating, and refining analytical methods; ensuring QA/QC and proper documentation
• Directing applied water research programs focused on emerging contaminants
• Administering budgets, contracts, and team resources
• Presenting research findings to industry professionals and regulatory agencies
• Overseeing capital improvement projects and externally funded research initiatives

Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or environmental sciences
