Job Description

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Washington-Liberty High School.

Responsibilities

1. Implement instructional programs that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials.
2. Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
3. Communicate with parents/guardians.
4. Maintain complete and accurate student records.
5. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members.
6. Monitor and assess student achievement.
7. Attend ongoing professional learning and meetings.

Experience

• Teaching experience in the relevant area.
• Knowledge of best instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology.
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
• Dual endorsement preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Chemistry certification.
• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education is preferred but not required.
