Job summary

Delta College is seeking a Chemistry Stockroom Student Worker to support students and instructors, maintain a safe laboratory environment, and stock classroom materials.

The role runs 5pm–9pm, 10–20 hours per week, with training provided. Dependability, basic algebra, and chemistry course exposure are valued; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable, motivated, self-starter.
• Ability to do basic algebra on occasion.
• Preference given to those who have taken a high school chemistry or college chemistry class.
• Must be registered in a minimum of six credit hours (12 hours for international students).
• Work Study preferred, but not required.
• This position requires a background check.

POSITION SUMMARY :

• Responsible for helping students and instructors in order to maintain a safe environment in the laboratory and stockroom areas
• General housekeeping skills; gather, move, and/or dispense lab materials.
• Cleaning, organizing, stocking lab and classroom supplies and equipment for Chemistry classes.
• Job and safety training will be provided.

This position will work late afternoon/evening shift (5pm - 9pm).

This position is 10-20 hours per week.
