Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, ensuring low error rates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, ensuring patient results are reported only when systems are functioning properly.
  • Maintain solid knowledge and skills in clinical laboratory procedures.
  • Perform quality control and instrument checks, troubleshoot QC issues, and resolve problems quickly.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, manage supplies, and address sample or procedural issues.
  • Train new laboratory staff and students, develop training tools, and participate in continuing education.
  • Follow all hospital safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • College degree
  • ASCP certification preferred
  • Prior laboratory experience, including chemistry knowledge
