Chemistry Medical Technologist - 2nd Shift

Join our team as a licensed Medical Technologist (MT) responsible for specimen processing, analysis, and reporting. This role involves performing standard duties with support from the Medical Technologist III Lead.

Shift Differential: $2.25 for 2nd shift

Job Summary

Perform day-to-day specimen processing, analysis, and results reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the laboratory.

Essential Functions

• Receive and process specimens per department protocols.
• Design and update testing procedures for optimal performance.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory management.
• Follow all safety and lab procedures.
• Produce and interpret accurate test results.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting test performance.
• Communicate relevant information to supervisors and team members.
• Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to QA/QC programs.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Adhere to corporate policies, including Privacy and Security.
• Meet departmental productivity expectations.

Education & Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or medical technology field.
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required.
• Maintain ongoing continuing education for certification and licensure.

Requirements

• Preferred: One year of related experience.
• Open to students or recent graduates eligible for certification exams.

This position is full-time at an associate level within the Public Health industry.
