Job summary

Alignerr is seeking chemistry experts to train and improve AI models. You will design advanced chemistry problems, develop rigorous solutions, and evaluate AI outputs for accuracy. The role spans collaboration with researchers to build benchmarks from undergraduate to Master’s level chemistry topics, with feedback that directly enhances model performance.

No AI experience is required, and the position offers fully remote, flexible hours for 10–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills across advanced chemistry domains.
• Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly in writing.

What You'll Do

• Design advanced chemistry problems to challenge and evaluate AI performance across domains like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry
• Develop clear, rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and quality
• Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry topics
• Provide structured, constructive feedback that directly improves AI model performance

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
• Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation frameworks
• Familiarity with large language models or AI research workflows
