Job summary

Indorama Ventures is seeking a Lab Technician to conduct laboratory tests and record results in a petrochemical environment. You will handle process tests, finished product testing, and water quality analyses with strict documentation and compliance.

The role requires instrument calibration, data review, safety compliance, and cooperation with operators. Training is provided, with potential for growth within a global company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science discipline required.
• 7 years of lab technician experience in petrochemical, refinery, or medical field setting may substitute for education.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker identification Credential (TWIC).
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license and wear corrective lenses when required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and email programs.
• Clear verbal and written communication across plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Comply with government regulations for safety and environmental issues.
• Perform regular walk-arounds to ensure housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Report safety and environmental issues promptly.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments and monitor QC samples.
• Perform sample analyses and record results with accuracy.
• Review analyses for data accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain instrument operation and perform visual/olfactory inspections.
• Train other lab technicians as required.
