Job summary

Fairleigh Dickinson University, Florham Campus, seeks an Adjunct Professor to teach chemistry laboratory courses in general, organic, health sciences and forensic chemistry. The lab instructor will guide students through weekly in-person experiments and evaluate notebooks and reports.

The position emphasizes maintaining a safe laboratory environment, proper PPE use, and responsible handling & disposal of chemicals, with compensation at $900–$1,000 per contact hour.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in chemistry or closely related field.
• Teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach laboratory courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, the health sciences, and/or forensic chemistry.
• Guide students through weekly in-person lab experiments and evaluate notebooks and laboratory reports.
