Job summary

Motlow State Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Chemistry (pool) position. This pool role involves teaching courses in chemistry at multiple Motlow campuses, with a focus on delivering high-quality instruction according to catalog descriptions and syllabi.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in chemistry or a related field with specific graduate hour requirements. Preference is given to candidates with a Doctoral degree and prior community college teaching

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in chemistry or a qualifying field earned by the application date.
• A Master’s degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline earned from a regionally accredited institution by the application date.
• Doctoral degree in discipline and three years CC teaching experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned per catalog description and syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools.
• Travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular issues.
• Support student learning and college operations.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester.
• Be available to communicate with students and attend required meetings.
