Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the natural sciences.
• An equivalent combination of training, formal education and/or research training or service laboratory operations experience.
• Flexibility in meeting student and faculty needs.

Responsibilities

• Lab setup accurately and on time each quarter.
• Equipment and instructional instruments maintenance.
• Timely lab setup, breakdown, and reset.
• Safety incidents reporting.
• Safety inspections.
• Completion of safety orientations.
• Compliance with chemical storage, labeling, and disposal standards.
• Timely response to lab emergencies (injuries, spills, equipment issues).
• Chemical inventory and tracking records.
• Chemical waste disposal within regulatory timelines.
• Stockroom organization and audit completion.
• Identification and removal of expired or unusable materials.
• Courses, experiments, and demonstrations supported.
