Job summary

Laurel Ridge Community College is seeking adjunct, part-time chemistry faculty to teach college-level chemistry courses, including online and on-campus sections, day, evening, and weekend shifts. The positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis and may be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

Applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC and include unofficial transcripts.

Qualifications

Masters in the field or Masters with 18 graduate credits in the field.
Ability to use instructional technology is required.
Occupational experience in the field.
Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools.
College level teaching experience, online experience a plus.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

Teach college-level chemistry courses, including online and on-campus sections.
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty appointments are course-by-course, semester-based.
Locations include Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.
Distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends.
