Qualifications

• Master’s degree in chemistry or a related discipline with at least 15 graduate credit hours in chemistry.
• Strong public speaking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to the community college mission.
• Doctoral degree in chemistry or a closely related discipline with 15 graduate credits preferred.
• Community College teaching experience preferred.
• Prior teaching experience at college level or related teaching activities is valued.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student mastery of core learning outcomes using relevant scholarly tools.
• Engage students in critical thinking and development of communication skills.
• Infuse multicultural perspectives into instruction and respect diversity.
• Model open-minded inquiry and creative problem-solving.
• Maintain currency in discipline and pedagogy; submit syllabi and instructional materials timely.
