Job summary

Tallahassee State College invites applications for the position of Chemistry Adjunct Faculty in the Applied Science and Technology Division. The adjunct will provide instruction and support for college policies, while promoting student success and engagement through innovative teaching methods.

The role emphasizes use of technology and distance learning options to enhance learning, with capacity to collaborate in a collegial setting and support a diverse student body.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in geology, oceanography, meteorology, environmental sciences or earth science.
• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in geology, oceanography, meteorology, environmental sciences or earth science or courses related to science.
• Must be able to work in clinical settings and contribute to student success.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in accounting, geology, oceanography, meteorology, environmental sciences or earth science or;
• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in geology, oceanography, meteorology, environmental sciences or earth science or courses related to science + Master’s degree.

In addition to the minimum qualifications listed for the positions, applicants must be able to work in any clinical settings. All prospective faculty are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics:
