Job summary

Tallahassee State College invites applications for a Crime Scene Technology Adjunct Faculty position within Applied Sciences and Technology. You will work with students in real-world healthcare environments, translating classroom theory into practical practice while emphasizing radiation safety and professional conduct.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in criminal justice or related Public Safety field, or 18 graduate hours plus a Master’s, and is committed to student retention,

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in criminal justice or related Public Safety field - OR - 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice plus a Master's degree.
  • Commitment to student retention and success
  • Commitment to development and assessment of student learning
  • Use of technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning, including distance learning and alternative delivery systems
  • Willingness to support a diverse population of learners inside and beyond the classroom.
  • Ability to work in a participatory and collegial setting

Responsibilities

  • Guide students in the safe and effective use of radiographic equipment while ensuring adherence to radiation safety standards.
  • Foster professional behavior and evaluate student performance in accordance with program objectives.

Education

This adjunct faculty will work directly with students in real-world healthcare environments, reinforcing classroom theory through practical application. Responsibilities include guiding students in the safe and effective use of radiographic equipment, ensuring adherence to radiation safety standards, fostering professional behavior, and evaluating student performance in accordance with program objectives.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. The ideal candidate must have:

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in criminal justice or related Public Safety field - OR - 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice plus a Master's degree.
