Qualifications

• Understanding of raw materials, especially pigments, and familiarity with FDA/global guidelines.
• 1-3 years relevant experience required.

The Color Lab Technician collaborates closely with chemists and clients to create and customize color shades and formulations. This role involves maintaining the color library, adjusting formulations based on client feedback, and ensuring compliance with company standards while fostering communication with global laboratories. Additionally, the technician validates and rectifies formulas for accuracy, coordinates tests with worldwide laboratories, and oversees the seamless transfer of developed formulas to the production site. The technician's tasks include regular documentation, utilizing software tools for data management and presentation, and effective communication with clients, internal teams, and global laboratories, all contributing to the success of color development projects.

Responsibilities

• Regularly document and review weekly activities, presenting findings and updates to management.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiently for data management, documentation, and presentation purposes.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, internal teams, and global laboratories, ensuring smooth collaboration.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemistry or related field.
• 0 to 2 years cosmetic formulation experience - intern experience acceptable.
• Interest in Cosmetics, stability testing, UV-Vis, and color matching.

Work Environment

The work environment provides a lab coat for dress code, and the working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role offers a global presence with opportunities to interact with multiple departments and the Italian headquarters. The successful candidate has the potential to move into a Chemist role and will be involved with the development and product launch for high-end customers.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $55000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
