Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Crete, IL seeks a Chemist 1 to perform chemical analyses on food and pharmaceutical samples. You will prepare, process, and analyze samples to determine concentrations, while maintaining QC records and safety standards.

The role requires basic instrumentation knowledge (HPLC, GC, ICP, AA) and 1–2 years in a chemistry lab, with an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred). The position is full-time and on-site in Crete, IL.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required, Bachelors preferred.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and theory including HPLC, GC, ICP and AA is helpful.
• 1-2 years experience in a chemistry/analytical lab is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis on food/pharmaceutical samples.
• Analyze concentration of components and prepare/process samples.
• Conduct analyses with extractions (Cholesterol, FAP, ICP, MOJO, FFA).
• Maintain chemistry QC records and procedures for each test.
• Maintain equipment and laboratory cleanliness; adhere to safety policies.
