Job summary

Air Liquide Electronics U.S. LP in Dallas, TX is seeking a Chemist II to join our laboratory and analysis team.

You will partner with customers, support data reporting, and help optimize laboratory operations, ensuring safe handling of chemicals and reliable measurements. The role includes developing analytical methods, presenting results to customers, training analysts, and contributing to continuous improvement across the laboratory.

We offer ultra pure carrier gases, a wide range of specialty gases and advanced precursor molecules, enabling equipment for safe distribution, purification and on-line purity control. On site, manufacturers rely on our expertise in providing full management of these gases, advanced molecules and equipment and in helping to continuously improve production processes.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Partnering with customers through comprehensive communication
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers on laboratory concerns or data reporting
  • Facilitates laboratory operation and upholds the success of job functions
  • Contributes to solution‑finding and partners on solutions to system‑related problems with distribution systems through analytical trending and special experimental studies
  • Championing and practicing safe laboratory and chemical handling protocols
  • Present data and project results to customers
  • Identifies and sources laboratory equipment and reagents
  • Collaborates with the Site Manager on laboratory operations via reports and meetings
  • Safety Advocacy Serves as the Chemical Hygiene Officer for the laboratory and supports laboratory employees in understanding methods to protect themselves from chemical hazards
  • Supports analysts and scientists as needed
  • Trend data and investigate data trends
  • Uses analytical and solution‑finding skills to address customer needs related to chemicals and contamination in the customer’s manufacturing process
  • Develops studies for special analytical projects to satisfy customer needs
  • Skilled in carrying out team‑oriented and self‑directed research projects
  • Write, edit and review SOPs
  • Contributes to continuous improvement efforts within the laboratory
  • Identifies the most effective reagents and lab supplies to be used by the lab and for various specific types of measurements
  • Writes multi‑technique and interlab reports that connect all results together
  • Send non‑routine Reports
  • Skilled in performing the majority of analyses pertaining to a particular lab; provides full QC and Review of these techniques
  • Safety Advocacy: takes a proactive role in upholding safe activities within the lab in alignment with company policies and local and federal regulations
  • Welcomes external auditor questions and performs analysis demonstrations for auditors
  • Guide routine operations
  • Provides quotes for both routine and non‑routine analyses and fully engages with the customer
  • Partnering in the development of new analytical methods to improve the products and services provided to customers
  • Skilled in carrying out team‑oriented and self‑directed research projects
  • Skilled in maintaining and adapting instruments to meet research goals
  • Aligns with the established Quality System and shares quality deficiencies for improvement
  • Uphold accuracy and consistency of data
  • Uphold proper data entry of analysis results
  • Maintains current procedures related to Laboratory Operations via Maximo
  • Perform sampling at client’s facility as assigned and complete all other additional assignments as required
  • Performs routine and extensive non‑routine analyses and other lab procedures as required
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship for chemists, laboratory technicians, and service technicians
  • Contributes to continuous improvement efforts within the laboratory and company
  • Takes ownership of evaluation, interpretation, and verification of analytical data
  • The established Quality System is followed and any quality deficiency is reported for team resolution
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or similar Science discipline with 3+ years experience OR Master’s degree in Chemistry or Similar Science with 2+ years experience
  • Good problem solving skills, innovative and resourceful
  • Meets or exceeds all company safety procedures and standards
  • Proficient in computer skills such as LIMS and the Google platform
  • Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture and a safe working environment in the laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience in the industrial gas industry
