Job description

Primary Talent Partners has a new 12-month Contract Chemist I (Entry-level) opening with a pharmaceutical client located in Wilson, NC. Likelihood for contract extension or direct-hire conversion is dependent upon performance, budget, and business needs.

Pay: $21 to $23/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Description:

We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Analyst to join our team in a GMP-regulated laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for routine laboratory testing, data documentation, and participation in investigations and troubleshooting efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in analytical chemistry or pharmaceutical sciences looking to grow in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory testing, including KF, UV, FTIR, dissolution, assay/degradate, content uniformity, and identity testing in a GMP laboratory.
  • Accurately document test results and enter data into Labware/LIMS.
  • Participate in investigation meetings, drafting investigations, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Perform simple troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Engage in the daily tier process to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • Academic or industry experience in a laboratory setting (2-3 years of industry experience preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • Experience operating routine laboratory equipment such as Karl Fischer, pH meter, conductivity meter, UV spectrophotometer.
  • Understanding of regulatory and cGMP principles.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement principles.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating advanced laboratory instruments such as HPLC, dissolution apparatus, FTIR, NIR.
  • Proficiency in Empower software for chromatography data analysis.
  • Experience utilizing Labware/LIMS for sample tracking and data entry.
  • Strong background in technical writing, including updating SOPs and drafting quality notifications.
  • Hands-on experience in root cause analysis and investigation processes.
  • Familiarity with Tier processes and execution of 5S principles for laboratory efficiency.
  • Work in a dynamic, GMP-compliant laboratory setting.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals committed to quality and continuous improvement.
