Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing is seeking a Chemist I to perform testing activities under supervision, ensuring turnaround targets are met. The role involves wet chemistry, gravimetry, titrimetry, and instrument analysis (HPLC, GC, ICP, IC).

Responsibilities include data entry in LIMS, recordkeeping, equipment calibration, and adherence to quality systems and safety guidelines. A B.S. in Chemistry or related field is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience with ICP, HPLC, GC, IC, DA, BOD and wet chemistry techniques preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025, DEA, EPA and related guidance.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing activities as directed by Department Supervisor in accordance with applicable guidelines.
• Monitor backlog and plan testing schedule to meet turnaround times.
• Maintain neat and accurate records and enter data into LIMS.
• Review and approve laboratory analytical data and ensure QC compliance.
• Conduct calibrations/checks of laboratory equipment and maintain glassware inventory.
