Job summary

ATR International is seeking a Chemist I to join its analytical chemistry laboratory in Minneapolis, MN. This contract position focuses on hands-on testing, NVR analysis, extraction studies, and material characterization for medical devices.

You will perform validated test methods, prepare samples, document results in LIMS, and support R&D testing schedules. A BS in Chemistry or related field and bench/ analytical chemistry experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with analytical chemistry laboratory techniques.
• Familiarity with general bench chemistry and wet chemistry techniques.
• Basic understanding of cGMP, ISO 17025, FDA, or ICH requirements is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate laboratory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform Non-Volatile Residue (NVR) analysis, chemical extractions, and sample preparation.
• Execute validated laboratory test methods and protocols.

About the Opportunity

ATR International is seeking a Chemist I to join an analytical chemistry laboratory supporting the medical technology industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in chemistry or a related scientific field who enjoys hands‑on laboratory work, chemical testing, and sample preparation.

You will support analytical testing activities involving Non‑Volatile Residue (NVR) analysis, extraction studies, and chemical characterization of materials used in medical devices.
