Full-time permanent position performing professional, scientific, and technical work to support the Department of Health and the Environment. Requires previous laboratory experience, preferably conducting chemical and microbiological analyses of water samples from town waters, private wells, surface waters, landfill monitoring wells, and wastewater in a State or Federal certified laboratory. Applicants should be knowledgeable in preparing standards, instrument calibration, performing quality control and ability to generate related tables/charts in compliance with Massachusetts DEP and/or federal EPA regulations.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of eight college credits in chemistry and 1-5 years laboratory experience. Knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry, laboratory practices, and bacteriology. Excellent oral and written organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines.
