Job summary

Arkema in Wisconsin seeks a chemistry/engineering professional to contribute to the development of products for NA Durable Goods in coordination with the R&D team. The role supports production scale up for new products with plant engineering and R&D, and provides incident support for customer and plant issues.

You will collaborate with Sales, Business Development and customers to discover new opportunities, engage in international technical exchanges, and ensure lab safety and 5S compliance

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product development for NA Durable Goods in coordination with R&D.
• Support production scale up for designated new products with plant engineering and R&D.
• Provide support for customer and plant problems as they arise.
• Work closely with Sales, Business Development and customers to identify new opportunities.
• Participate in technical exchanges with colleagues in Europe and Asia.
• Support other product development activities as appropriate.
• Comply with lab safety and 5S policies.
• Laboratory work and testing for customer requests with written/presentation reports.
• Meetings with sales, business development, customers and plants including travel.
• Coordinate with business development, sales and international teams to grow new opportunities.
• Contribute to site lab activities including safety, maintenance, and 5S.
• Travel up to 10%.

-Contributions to site lab activities including safety, maintenance, and 5S. 10%.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Required

Min Years of Experience 0

Education and area of focus

B.S. in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science Engineering or equivalent.

Adhesive application methods, general adhesive chemistry, experience preferred in applications for the transportation and assembly markets, Use of Microsoft Office tools, presentation skills, ability to manage multiple projects

HES Requirement

-Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements

-Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)

-Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
