Job summary

SLB is seeking a Chemist in Odessa, Texas to join a global technology company focused on energy innovation. You will support senior researchers, perform laboratory testing, and help advance chemical product development while maintaining rigorous safety standards.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 1 year of laboratory experience (academic or internship-based).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior researchers with sample preparation, laboratory or field testing, and overall project execution.
  • Conduct chemical product development and qualification testing using established protocols for a variety of laboratory techniques.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support efficient lab operations.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manage multiple technical requests in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:
