Job summary

Kdc/one is seeking a Quality Control Lead in Groveport, OH to guide the QC Lab's day-to-day operations, overseeing analytical and microbiology testing. The role focuses on coaching staff, ensuring product testing accuracy, and upholding high quality standards across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science field.
• 3+ years of lab experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA GMPs, OSHA safety standards, aseptic sampling, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day QC Lab operations, supporting analytical and microbiology testing.
• Coach and mentor lab staff to meet performance goals and quality standards.
• Review product testing results and communicate out-of-spec findings.
• Maintain lab equipment and inventory; recommend upgrades to boost efficiency.
• Conduct investigations into lab errors, safety incidents, and quality deviations.
• Oversee training to ensure staff follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and cGMPs.
• Test incoming raw materials and finished products using GC, HPLC, and FTIR.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis and manage product releases in SAP.
• Collaborate across departments to improve lab processes and support projects.

What We need from You:

• Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to train others, multitask, and operate scientific lab equipment
