Job summary

Novonesis in North America seeks a Direct Sourcing Category Manager for Chemicals to lead regional sourcing, negotiate with suppliers, and align with global strategies.

You will collaborate across Quality, Production, Engineering, Regulatory, Legal, and Supply Chain to optimize value, reduce risk, and advance sustainability under the PAVE program.

Hybrid work in Franklinton, NC, with on-site three days a week; base salary 100k-140k USD plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Experience with chemical raw materials and supplier management.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional sourcing projects for the Chemicals category with supplier negotiations.
• Coordinate with Global Category Managers and stakeholders across functions.
• Manage multiple sourcing initiatives, including onboarding and contracts.
• Develop and prioritize regional project pipeline balancing cost, value, and risk.
• Identify Total Cost of Ownership improvements across product and process areas.
• Drive raw material substitutions with optimization teams.
• Assess risks – supply, regulatory, environmental, and sustainability.
• Support alternate suppliers and resilient supply chain solutions.
• Collaborate on carbon reduction initiatives aligned with PAVE to Zero targets.
