Job summary

ChemQuest International is seeking a Quality & Sample Technician in Hanover Park, IL to manage product sample operations, prepare and ship samples, and maintain a detailed sample library. You will support incoming materials sampling, perform basic lab testing, and record results to ensure quality and timely distribution.

You will collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and suppliers to fulfill requests and maintain documentation, SDS, and product specs.

Qualifications

• Experience in sample coordination, laboratory support, or related operational roles.
• Experience with chemical products, ingredients, or similar materials preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process sample requests.
• Prepare, label, package, and ship domestic and international product samples.
• Request, receive, inspect, and organize supplier samples.
• Maintain sample inventory and library, including retained samples.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Collect representative samples of incoming materials per procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory testing (pH, moisture, appearance, viscosity).
• Record lab results and maintain quality records.
• Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and suppliers to fulfill requests.
• Support Quality & Regulatory with documentation, data entry, and requests.
• Assist with SDS, TDS, specifications, and other product docs.
• Support investigations, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain lab supplies, storage, and workspaces in good order.
