Responsibilities

• Load and unload tank trucks and cement their paperwork.
• Process paperwork for incoming materials and document damages/shortages.
• Verify shipping orders and maintain order documentation.
• Begin learning to work with pressurized rail cars and tank trucks.
• Convert measurements between pounds and gallons for materials.
• Work with chemicals and perform related loading/unloading duties.

Work under limited supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of warehousing duties. Processes paperwork on incoming materials and document damages and shortages. Loads and unloads tank trucks, performs calculations to convert pounds and gallons, maintains order documentation and verifies shipping orders, begins learning to work with pressurized rail cars and tank trucks, acquires skills to load and unload chemicals weighing from 40-36,000 pounds which require special handling. Loads and unloads rail cars and does paperwork for spotting and release of cars. Learns international shipment process. Performs maintenance on container fleet, cleans containers using chemical cleaning process. Adheres to plant safety policies and procedures. Works outdoors year-round in all types of weather conditions.

To be successful in this role you will:

• The work environment is very fast-paced and noisy. It is one of constant movements while performing the duties of this job.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Will be working in elements and outside environment.
• The employee must be able to operate a forklift while loading or unloading freight.

Requirements:

• Forklift Experience/Knowledge a plus
• General tools knowledge and experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years related experience.
• Chemicals Handling experience a plus

The *pay scale for this position is $27.32-$46.50 USD if employed in California
