Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to safely handle liquid and dry chemical products in our Topeka facility. The role covers mixing, loading/unloading trucks, railcars and tankers, operating forklifts, repackaging and labeling materials, and maintaining precise inventory records.

Work is physically active and fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or US military experience; chemical ops experience may be considered.
• Possess or able to pass forklift certification and demonstrate forklift operation safety.
• Read, comprehend and carry out detailed instructions in English; write simple notes.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Learn and operate technology-based devices (smartphones, tablets, computers, PLCs).
• Meet production requirements; wear PPE; comply with placarding rules during loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Mixing/blending/manufacturing to produce final products safely and efficiently.
• Receive/unload and load liquids and dry chemicals from/to trucks, tankers, and railcars; verify documents.
• Operate powered/manual forklifts; maintain daily forklift checklist.
• Repackage products into proper containers with correct labeling and storage.
• Maintain accurate receiving/shipping logs and assist in inventory counting.
• General warehouse duties and routine safety program participation.
