Job summary

Ventura Transfer Company in El Centro, CA is seeking an Experienced Chemical Loader to transload hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals from railcars to tank trucks. You will work with our Transportation Department to ensure safe, accurate loads.

Applicants must be detail-oriented, able to read complex paperwork, and communicate in English. A valid Class C driver's license is required, and safety comes first in this outdoor role.

Qualifications

• English communication in writing and speaking is required.
• Extremely accurate and detail oriented; no errors in complex data or paperwork.
• Able to read and interpret boiler names, load orders, and rail car numbers.
• Must possess a valid Class C Driver's license and be insurable to operate company vehicles.
• Able to work flexible and varying schedules and multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Use VTC equipment to transload liquids from rail cars to tank trucks and shipping containers.
• Complete loads on time, accurately, and on schedule.
• Operate equipment such as pickup trucks, boilers, and compressors.
• Maintain inventory of loading equipment and schedule maintenance.
• Follow SOPs and work order instructions to ensure loads are correct and safe.
• Use measuring equipment to load correct volumes.
• Read and interpret load orders and paperwork accurately.
• Maintain records and transmit to corporate for billing and accounting.
• Communicate work schedules with other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
