Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor operating parameters to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct field/product tests, record data, and report results to supervisors.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance as directed.
  • Manage product inventory including reporting, ordering, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Develop a general understanding of industrial and business processes.
  • Participate in LEAD - Field Specialist Development Program and required training.
  • Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal requirements, and company values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operations and customers.

As a Chemical Technician, you will build your technical expertise in chemical applications and industrial processes while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will gain hands‑on experience through structured training and contribute to delivering reliable and efficient field operations.

As a Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Monitoring application operating parameters to ensure optimal performance
  • Conducting field and product tests, recording data, and communicating results to supervisors
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment as directed
  • Managing product inventory, including reporting, ordering, and coordinating deliveries
  • Developing a general understanding of industrial and business processes

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a two-year Technical College degree or equivalent (preferred)
  • Have knowledge of chemistry, materials, process flows, or petroleum engineering concepts (preferred)
  • Have a basic understanding of industrial processes and business principles
  • Have strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Have effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Have the ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to varying weather, heights, and PPE requirements
