Qualifications

• Must follow strict Health and Safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Able to sit, stand, walk and climb in elevated areas.

• Able to operate safely in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures resin and formaldehyde following procedures and HSE rules.
• Load/unload raw materials and finished products.
• Operate a forklift to move materials.
• Coordinate with management to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Ensure shipping documents and regulatory compliance are met.
• Participate in safety committees and follow site rules for quality, health, safety, and environment.
• Monitor processes and report deviations to Lead Operator.
• Work with Lead Operator and other staff to meet production and maintenance goals.
• Respond to alarms and implement corrective actions.
• Perform in-process checks using lab equipment (GC, titrator, pH meter) and troubleshoot issues.

Arclin USA is seeking talent for aChemical Production Operator job for our[Location] location. Reporting into the Production Supervisor, this position is an entry level, full time position, and Operator is responsible for performing tasks and duties pertaining to the manufacturing and processing of resins and formaldehyde. This role is required to know and perform all assigned production department functions in compliance with HSE - Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Arclin’s policies and procedures to contribute positively to an efficient and safely run operation.

Chemical Production Operator Job Responsibilities:

• Manufactures resin and formaldehyde and/or related surfaces according to established procedures and HSE regulations.
• Unloads and loads raw materials and finished products following established procedures (tanker trailers, railcars, box trucks, and bulk trucks)
• Operates a forklift to load/unload raw materials (drums, totes, bags)
• Collaborates with management to meet the production and shipping schedule
• Ensures required shipping documents are completed and procedures are followed to be in compliance with all regulations and corporate requirements
• Participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements
• Follows all site rules and procedures as they apply to quality, health, safety, and the environment
• Visually monitors processes within their area of accountability and immediately informs the Lead Operator of any deviations or abnormalities
• Works in close coordination with the Lead Operator to accomplish the tasks needed to safely and efficiently meet production and maintenance schedules across all processes
• Communicates and confers with the Lead Operator as well as with Technical, Supervisory, and Support Personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality
• Responds to process alarms and interlocks promptly and coordinates timely confirmation and corrective actions to resolve conditions generating the alarms and interlocks
• Performs In-Process Checks (IPC’s) to verify batch progression and quality using laboratory equipment (GC, Titrator, pH meter, etc.)
• Performs troubleshooting in the event of process deviations

Chemical Production Operator Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma Required or GED.
• Forklift experience a plus but must be able to become certified.
• Capable of Driving a Tractor/Tanker unit or being able to learn.

• Must be ok with rotating shifts.(Days/Nights/Evenings rotating every week)
• Must be ok with following strict Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required PPE ( Personal Protective Equipment).

• Will lift an average of 50 lbs frequently.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic math skills required including the use of a calculator.
• Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment; this may include, but is not limited to potentially lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods of time bending, crouching, stooping, rotating, climbing stairs, or any combination of the aforementioned, etc
