Job summary

Magellan Aerospace is seeking a Chemical Processing Operator to work under supervision in the plating and anodizing area. You will perform racking, un-racking, cleaning, and processing according to route card instructions and customer specifications, while maintaining a safe working environment.

Hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. A High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year in an industrial setting are required. ITAR requires U.S. Person status; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Ability to read, speak, and interpret English documents (procedures, manuals, work orders).
  • U.S. Person status required due to ITAR regulations (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform processing operations per instructions (racking, un-racking, loading/unloading parts).
  • Verify compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements; input data on Route Card accurately.
  • Contribute to 6S and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work area.
  • Train and certify personnel for chemical processes as needed.

Position Summary

The Chemical Processing Operator Works under the supervision of the certified Chemical processing Operator (Plating, Anodizing etc.) and performs duties in the department including racking, unracking, unmasking, cleaning, organizing, processing in accordance with route card instruction, internal procedures and customer specifications. The Chemical Processing Operator is responsible for safely working in a chemical environment with all safety equipment and safe guards.

The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $29.00 per hour.

Hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Performs processing operations per instructions, including Racking, un-racking, loading and unloading of parts Verify all internal procedures and customer requirements are followed and met, including accurately inputting data onto Route Card
  • Contribute to 6S and continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain the work area in a clean, safe and hazard free manner
  • Track supplies and ask Supervisor to order in a timely manner and maintain an accurate list of materials and supplies for ordering purposes
  • Train and certify personnel for Chemical processes as necessary
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 1 year of working in an industrial environment preferably, however other experience will be considered
  • Ability to read, speak, and interpret documents written in English such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals, warehouse work orders and inventories. Ability to write legible notes and correspondence in English
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
  • Spanish would be a plus
