Employ-Temps Staffing Services seeks a Chemical Processing Laborer for a coatings production facility in Akron, OH. You will clean and prepare cans, tubs, and tanks, follow batch and packaging tickets, and wrap and label finished products for shipment.

This on-site position on the 1st shift (8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday) offers $20/hour with a raise to $23 after hire; candidates with manufacturing or industrial cleaning experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow batch and packaging instructions.
• Basic math skills for measuring and recording.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs frequently, up to 600 lbs occasionally.
• Experience with batch mixing or industrial cleaning preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare cans, tubs, and tanks using solvents and manual tools.
• Identify, separate, and store cleaned and unwashed containers.
• Follow batch and packaging tickets to fill batches by size or weight.
• Wrap and label filled batches for shipment.
• Submit batch tickets after completion.
• Communicate with production staff to prioritize cleaning and filling tasks.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area per safety procedures.

Chemical Processing Laborer

We are seeking dependable candidates for a Chemical Processing Laborer position at a coatings production facility in Akron, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing or industrial cleaning experience who are looking to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Hours:

1st Shift, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday

Pay:

$20/hour, with a raise to $23 once hired in

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare cans, tubs, and tanks using solvents and manual tools
• Ensure all materials are fully removed from containers and equipment
• Properly identify, separate, and store cleaned and unwashed containers
• Follow batch and packaging tickets to correctly fill batches by size or weight
• Wrap and label filled batches for shipment
• Submit required documentation and batch tickets after completion
• Communicate with production staff to prioritize cleaning and filling tasks
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety procedures

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and follow batch and packaging instructions
• Basic math skills for accurate measuring and recording
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs frequently, up to 600 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable using ladders, operating forklifts, and working in a manufacturing setting
• Must wear personal protective equipment including steel-toed boots and respirators

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with batch mixing or industrial cleaning
• Food manufacturing experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Manufacturing or industrial cleaning experience
