Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Chemical Operator to operate and monitor equipment used in the processing of industrial products. You will load materials, stage supplies, and perform routine housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus hands-on experience with hazardous materials and batch chemical blending. forklift experience is preferred, with exposure to SAP and data recording a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six (6) months' experience in a chemical manufacturing environment with hazardous materials.
• Minimum of 2 years' related batch chemical blending/ formulation experience with hazardous materials.
• Minimum of 1 year of analytical testing experience.
• Experience driving a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Support Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and policies.
• Monitor equipment settings and adjust processes to affect speed, quality and yields.
• Record operating data and test results for process control.
• Confer with technicians to resolve safety, efficiency, and quality issues.
• Draw samples and conduct quality tests to ensure standards are met.
• Start pumps and regulate flow of materials in blending vessels.
• Notify maintenance to correct equipment malfunctions.
