Job summary

Qnity in Circleville, Ohio is hiring a nonexempt operator to join our manufacturing team. Operators blend, mix, or form chemicals into our unique products while monitoring processes and ensuring safety and quality.

You will work on rotating shifts, support the site's emergency response, and collaborate across divisions. Experience in manufacturing or relevant certifications is preferred, with physical requirements including lifting up to 55 lbs and constant PPE use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and on short notice.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs occasionally; climb stairs, ladders, and stand for long periods.
• Must wear PPE such as steel toes, hardhat, Nomex, protective eyewear, face shields, arc protective clothing, and SCBA.
• Must be able to serve on Circleville site's Emergency Response Team (firefighting, hazmat, confined space rescue, medical).
• Willing to work in any division within Qnity at Circleville site.
• Willing to work as chemical or machine operator.

Responsibilities

• Move control settings to adjust speeds and yields.
• Monitor instruments, flow meters, and alarms for process conditions.
• Operate chemical processes using control boards or semi-automatic equipment.
• Record process data and readings.
• Collect samples and perform quality control tests.
• Regulate equipment during emergencies as directed by supervision.
• Start pumps to wash reactors or regulate flow of substances.
• Interpret reactions and review lab reports for process adjustments.
• Patrol work areas to prevent overflow or hazards.
• Turn valves to regulate product flows and byproducts.
• Calculate material requirements or yields; gauge tank levels.
• Repair or replace damaged equipment.
