Job summary

Qnity in Circleville is seeking a nonexempt operator to blend, mix, or form chemicals for our unique products. You will monitor processes, adjust equipment, and maintain safety while meeting quality standards.

The role requires willingness to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) and to lift up to 55 lbs with appropriate PPE. This is a full-time, on-site position at the Circleville site with opportunities to contribute to emergency response teams.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 3 years of related experience or manufacturing certification.
• Experience in manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous.
• Experience with 5S or lean manufacturing programs is beneficial.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Move control settings to adjust equipment speeds, quality, or yields.
• Monitor instruments, flow meters, panel lights, or other indicators and listen for alarms to verify process conditions.
• Operate chemical processes or systems using control boards or semi-automatic equipment.
• Record operating data, such as process conditions, test results, or instrument readings.
• Collect samples of products and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and to ensure that standards are met.
• Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by supervisory personnel.
• Start pumps to wash and rinse reactor vessels, to exhaust gases or vapors, to regulate the flow of liquids.
• Interpret chemical reactions and review laboratory test reports for process adjustments.
• Patrol work areas to ensure that solutions in tanks or troughs are not in danger of overflowing.
• Turn valves to regulate flow of products or byproducts through tanks and vessels.
• Calculate material requirements or yields according to formulas.
• Gauge tank levels, using calibrated rods.
• Repair or replace damaged equipment.
