About the role

Are you looking to play a practical, hands-on role in a company that's at the forefront of consumer health and hygiene? Join us at Reckitt as a Chemical Process Operator and be part of a team dedicated to creating world-changing products. The role of the CPO is to produce finished bulk product for Packaging ensuring safe operations, product quality, on time delivery and the efficiency of Processing Operation.

Your responsibilities
  • Follow methods, instructions, and formulas for precise mixing, blending, and compounding of ingredients.
  • Identify raw materials using labels and physical properties during batching.
  • Prepare materials for manufacturing and monitor temperature, pressure, appearance, and other process indicators.
  • Accurately complete batch sheets, including weights, completion times, dates, and test results.
  • Communicate equipment or batch changes and discrepancies promptly and effectively to the team.
  • Conduct routine physical or chemical tests, adjust as necessary, and provide samples to Quality Assurance for approval.
  • Operate low and high-pressure boilers and maintain knowledge of pipelines, valves, connections, storage, and necessary equipment locations.
  • Ensure proper machinery operation, perform minor adjustments, routine maintenance, and report major repairs.
  • Operate a lift truck for transporting and storing raw materials and assist with receiving bulk raw materials from railcars or tank trucks.
  • Serve on Spill Response Team and participate in EHS trainings, programs, safety initiatives, incident investigations and audits.
The experience we're looking for
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in a Chemical Processing environment
  • Black Seal License and relevant experience in High Pressure Boiler Operations is required
  • Must be flexible to work any shift, weekends and mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Frequent lifting of tools and equipment up to 50lbs. is required.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, turning, walking, standing and climbing stairs and crossovers are common.
  • Proper use of PPE is always required.

Pay Rate

Starting at $24.00 per hour

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
