Job summary

Gelest, Inc. in Morrisville, PA is seeking a Process Operator to join our production team. You will operate reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers, pumps and compressors to produce specialty chemicals.

The role requires reading technical documents, strong communication and safety focus. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work 12-hour shifts, and pass a respirator test as required by OSHA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Chemical or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
• Basic math skills for data interpretation during production.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow instructions to produce specialty chemicals.
• Conduct basic tests and analyze data for quality.
• Gather and sign in/out raw materials and finished products.
• Maintain inventories and flow of materials in production area.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Adjust processes based on feedback to maintain safe output.
• Collect samples for laboratory analysis.
• Follow SOPs and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team and other departments.
