Process Engineer needed for Memphis area specialty chemical company. You will be responsible for improving operational performance and achieving business objectives.

• You will work toward continuous improvement of quality production, keeping in mind the goals of safety, industrial hygiene, efficiency, cost, and customer service.
• Will evaluate data of a technical chemical engineering nature, prepare technical presentations, and make recommendations for production, safety, or facility improvement.
• Will work as a project leader on some projects to ensure safe completion within budget and time, minimizing impact on production.
• Will develop key performance indicators for production. Use methods like lean manufacturing, Six Sigma to ensure excellence.

Requirements

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering or related, plus at least three years of process engineering experience in a chemicals manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge and commitment to Environmental Health and Safety.
• Experience in managing minor DCS (Delta V and APACS) programming and/or CHEMCAD or similar process modeling.
• Possess an in-depth understanding of chemical plant processes, equipment, instrumentation.
