Qualifications

  • BS Chemical Engineering from ABET accredited University.
  • 2 years experience in the Semiconductor industry, or an equivalent role in related industry.
  • 10 years experience in a similar role in lieu of BS ChE degree.

Responsibilities

  • Act as SME for facility chemical or gas systems and optimize system performance.
  • Develop SOPs from vendor manuals and technical documents.
  • Provide commissioning support and higher level maintenance support.
  • Assist with configuration control, documentation and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with equipment OEMs to develop safety and SOP control documents.
  • Support cross-site operations teams and client stakeholders to maximize value.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and lifecycle improvements.
  • Deliver training content to onboard and upskill staff.
  • Assist startup and commissioning activities with OEMs and client teams.

Education

BS Chemical Engineering from ABET accredited University
10 Years experience in a similar role in lieu of BS ChE degree
2 years experience in the Semiconductor industry

Job description

The TGCM Process Engineer acts as the subject matter expert on Facility Chemical or Gas systems within a client site. The primary duties include system performance optimization to ensure uninterrupted, defect free service supply to the client factory. Additionally, the TGCM engineer will provide SOP Development from vendor manuals and technical documents. Commissioning support, higher level maintenance support, configuration control, Documentation, as well as support risk assessments. The TGCM Engineer will collaborate with equipment OEM to develop all safety and SOP control documents. Support ALL cross site operations teams and key client stakeholders to maximize the value to the client.

Safety:
  • Promote Exentec’s Incident Free Workplace culture and lead by example in daily operations.
  • Ensure site compliance with Exentec and client EHS programs, policies, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Support incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and reinforce proactive hazard identification, lead JSA evaluations on Job plans
  • Conduct safety audits and promote continuous improvement to reduce risk and maintain world-class safety performance.
Reliability:
  • Continually evaluate system performance, identify poor performing equipment and develop recovery/improvement plans.
  • Utilize SPC to maximize performance. Lead RCAs when an excursion occurs.
Maintenance Management:
  • Support the equipment maintenance program including PM Job scheduling, frequency, quality and optimzation.
  • Ensure critical spares are evaluated and stocked to balance cost with reliability.
  • Component 2nd sourcing strategy to ensure alternative components are pre-approved for usage
  • Identify upgrade opportunties, perform NPV analysis with client.
Documentation:
  • Develop and/or ensure up to date system documentation including PM job plans, SOOs, Troubleshooting Specs, P&IDs, PFDs, SOPs and other critical documentation needed to operate
Configuration Control:
  • Identify all critical parameters (Set points, alarms, deadbands, PID, etc) necessary to maintain compliance to customer specs, develop process and procedure to maintain control through the use of Management of ChangeSystem ‘Finger printing’ to ensure all critical setpoints are checked and maintained at predetermined frequencies
Advanced Troubelshooting:
  • Act as the escalation point for operations to solve advanced problems
Cost Optimization:
  • Develop models to evaluate cost of ownership, evaluate options to reduce cost to client including condition based maintennace, alternative materials, etc using risk based evaluations
Training:
  • Develop content of technical training packages to enable the onboarding and training of new employees as well as upskilling of existing employees.
  • Evaluate risk within a systematic methodoligy, communicate to leadership and client.
Startup & Commissioning:
  • Collaborate with the OEMs, GC, EOR, Client and Exentec teams to assist with the statup and commissioning of equipment to meet client needs for gas and chemicals.
  • Develop OAT/FAT documentations/startup plans
  • Identify system deficiencies and elevate to customer point of contact for resolution.
  • Support Safety Level sign off
  • Execute OAT/FAT with client, document equipment fingerprint.

Other: Colllaborate with cross site Exentec engineering, operations and maintenance teams
