Job summary

USALCO is seeking a Chemical Operator in Baltimore, MD to safely run plant processes and ensure compliance with all policies. The role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to operate equipment and handle hazardous chemicals.

You will support process improvements, perform quality checks, maintain records, and work overtime as needed. Forklift experience and willingness to obtain certification within 30 days are a plus; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in all tasks.
• Knowledge of chemical manufacturing and equipment.
• Dependable, flexible, and responsive to customer needs.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Able to obtain Fork Lift certification within 30 days of hire.
• Able to learn the chemical operator position within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient operation of the process(es) assigned and safe transfer of hazardous chemicals.
• Apply all plant safety rules, work guidelines, and procedures.
• Wear and maintain PPE required for working with hazardous chemicals.
• Develop and apply improvements in processes, equipment and procedures.
• Complete walk-throughs and quality assurance checks on products.
• Adjust formulations to meet specifications.
• Assist in loading trailers and unloading raw materials as needed.
• Complete Certificates of Compliance and all shift paperwork.
• Maintain Daily Management practices for the facility.
