Your Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and monitor process equipment in area of responsibility.
  • Maintain batch sheets, spreadsheets, control charts, and other documentation.
  • Monitor process using GLC.
  • Troubleshoot process & equipment problems, automation program, and provide support to Guardian teams.
  • Recognize problems and unusual events and communicate to Shift Leader.
  • Ensures transfer of accurate production data into SAP and spreadsheets and inventory accuracy, including proper labeling of all inventories.
  • Provide clear communication at shift change.
  • Assist co-workers as needed and as directed by Shift lead/supervisor
  • Material movements (drums, forklift, etc.)
  • Support PSM compliance: PCNs, safety committee, HAZOP, PSSR, etc

You bring

  • High School diploma and equivalent experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years of chemical process experience.
  • Prior equipment operator experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of chemical process and an understanding of special formula instructions.
  • Equipment operator experience in a chemical plant environment.
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to provide feedback to Supervision in all critical areas such as equipment conditions.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervision and employees.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, to evaluate results, make recommendations and draw conclusions.
  • Willingness to work overtime to cover vacancies.
  • Willingness to train other operators.
  • Ability to work a 24/7 rotating shift.
