Job summary

InChem Rock Hill LLC is hiring Chemical Operators to manage process equipment, load materials, and monitor reactions in a 8/10/12-hour shift environment at Rock Hill, South Carolina.

You will adjust controls, log data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe operation. Minimum high school diploma and 1 year manufacturing experience required; forklift certification may be obtained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills including weights and measures.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain sit-down forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of process equipment, including reaction systems, distillation systems, filters, reactors, pumps, and centrifuges in compliance with procedures.
• Load and unload raw materials, intermediates, and finished products into and out of process equipment.
• Set up and adjust indicating and controlling devices.
• Monitor and record reactions, noting changes in chemical properties and compositions.
• Adjust valves and controls to maintain specified temperature, pressure, and vacuum levels.
• Maintain log of gauge readings, shift production, and equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot process and/or equipment problems.
