Job description

Operations - Properly calculate/make blends and load tank trucks or cars in accordance with the production schedule, night note or as required by existing conditions. Sample for product quality and make decisions regarding proper storage of the product to ensure it meets quality specifications. Monitor inventory levels as required and make product storage decisions to ensure shipping requirements are met. Make periodic rounds to inspect the building and tank farms, checking for abnormal conditions - take action as necessary to alleviate any issues. Operate the flaking rolls per standard operating procedures. Collect samples as required to check product quality. Ensure blends are made to customer specifications.

Safety - Be familiar with all plant safety requirements and perform all responsibilities according to the safety requirements of the plant SH&E manual and Safe Start training. Complete monthly safety training, PMs and attend all required safety meetings. Participate in Job Safety Analysis when required.

Quality - Properly and accurately prepare all paperwork, blend calculations and SAP entries.

Admin- Perform housekeeping each shift to ensure the control room and work areas are clean and safe to work in. Keep consumable supplies properly stocked (sample jars, gloves, etc) to ensure efficient operation of the department.

The Ideal Candidate Must Possess The Following

  • Ability to work over 40 hours per week and over 8 hours in one day
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good work habits (attendance, safety, etc)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills .

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess The Following

  • 3 to 5 years experience as a chemical operator
  • SAP & EPS operating knowledge
  • Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts (DuPont Schedule)
