Job summary

Milliken and Company is seeking a Chemical Operator for the Allen Plant in Blacksburg, SC. The role reports to a production manager and focuses on safe chemical manufacturing processes with opportunities to obtain multiple job certifications.

Entry-level associates will rotate on a 12-hour shift (first-third) and learn basic chemical and material handling skills while contributing to process improvements and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and wear a full-face respirator.
• Computer experience with Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and process computer to manufacture batches.
• Complete pour and upkeep of chemicals per instructions.
• Fill/bag product up to 50 pounds and perform basic chemical blends.
• Conduct testing at local monitoring station during processing.
• Maintain batch sheets, computer sheets, records and logs.
• Participate in plant safety programs and process meetings.
• Assist with shutdowns and other tasks as directed.
