Job summary

Solenis in Fort Scott, KS is seeking a Chemical Operator to safely prepare, weigh, charge, mix, and process raw materials according to SOPs in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will ensure batches meet specifications, operate equipment safely, and keep accurate documentation to support production targets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Chemical Operator certification 1 & 2 or comparable training/experience in manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of experience in chemical/industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, batch processing, or automated systems.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, Kosher, Halal, and NSF Quality Standards.

Responsibilities

• Batch Preparation & Mixing: measure, stage and charge materials per batch sheets and SOPs.
• Operate mixers, blenders, reactors, pumps and related equipment.
• Monitor and adjust parameters to meet product specs; maintain batch documentation.
• Equipment operation: start, monitor and safely shut down equipment; perform cleaning.
• Safety & environmental: follow rules, handle hazardous materials per SDS, participate in safety meetings.
• Quality & documentation: conduct in-process checks, collect samples, document production information.

Education

Chemical Operator certification 1 & 2 or comparable training/experience in manufacturing
