Job summary

FedChem, a subsidiary of FPC International, Inc., is seeking a motivated, safety-conscious Chemical Operator to initiate and control chemical manufacturing in our plant. You will charge raw materials, monitor batches, and maintain accurate records. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour.

This is a 24/7 facility with rotating 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate has chemical manufacturing experience, understands safety protocols, and can work in a small team.

Qualifications

• Understanding of chemical processes and reactions.
• Familiarity with SOPs for chemical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a chemical plant.
• Troubleshooting skills to identify and address equipment issues.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the use of the Internet.
• Developed mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Initiates chemical manufacturing processes in reactors, ensuring precise adherence to standardized formulas and protocols.
• Oversees raw material charging, batch monitoring, and equipment operation, including forklift usage, in accordance with company SOPs.
• Performs packaging, filtration, and materials handling with attention to minimizing contamination and ensuring product integrity.
• Conducts minor maintenance and inspection tasks following safety checklists to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Engages in the company's safety program regularly and adheres to all safety protocol and guidelines and reports any safety hazards immediately.
• Participates in small, self-directed teams during operational hours.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and resolve issues efficiently.
