AkzoNobel in Illinois seeks a Chemical Operator 1 - Filling for the 3rd shift to support production and warehouse operations. You will follow safety procedures, measure materials, and verify seals on filled containers.

Qualifications

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, and industrial environments.
  • Ability to wear required safety equipment, including steel-toed footwear.

Responsibilities

  • Fill and transfer products into containers of different sizes following production and safety procedures
  • Measure and weigh materials accurately to ensure proper product quantities
  • Inspect filled containers for leaks and ensure all lids, bungs, and seals are secure
  • Clean tanks, pumps, hoses, filters, and other equipment using approved methods and tools
  • Operate equipment such as pressure washers, automated tank washers, and forklifts as needed
  • Move raw materials, finished goods, and waste materials to designated storage or disposal areas
  • Maintain clean and organized production, storage, and yard areas
  • Report safety, quality, or production concerns to supervisors promptly
  • Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
  • Assist with other production tasks as needed based on training and business needs

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support production and warehouse operations by performing a variety of tasks, including:

Qualifications
