Are you ready to unfold your greatest potential? At Staffmark and our partner company, we love to expose your passion and explore the possibilities. Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Operator to join their team in Vandalia, OH.



Pay: $23/hr.

Schedule: 5:00am - 1:30pm, Monday - Friday



Key Responsibilities:



  • Measure, weigh, and mix chemicals according to established procedures.

  • Operate and adjust equipment to control chemical reactions, including temperature, pressure, and flow.

  • Monitor reaction speeds, quality, and yields, making necessary adjustments as directed.

  • Follow batch procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and work instructions accurately.

  • Record data, draw samples, and use systems like SAP for tracking and analysis.

  • Report issues to supervisors and follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage.

  • Inspect equipment for leaks or malfunctions and maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards.




Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required; up to five years of experience in chemical manufacturing preferred (or equivalent education/experience).

  • Operator experience required, Chemical Operator preferred.

  • Must have basic chemistry knowledge and be able to perform measurements, conversions, and calculate percentages and ratios.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Good organizational, teamwork, and multitasking skills.

  • Familiarity with equipment like pumps, ovens, stirrers, dryers, and basic maintenance/repair.
